It was reported that several patients were trapped.

Five ambulances were requested and they transported the patients to a regional trauma center in serious condition. Two of the victims were boys, 15 and 16 years old. Other patients included two women in their 20s and a 32-year-old man.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Car Accidents in Hawaii

Pearl City, HI - Two Teens Among Five Injured in Crash on I-H1 Near Pearl City

Regrettably, many car accidents involve intoxicated or irresponsible drivers who either carry no insurance at all or do not carry enough to compensate you fully for your injuries and damages.

This is why it takes a seasoned lawyer, one who understands the many nuances of Hawaii’s car insurance laws, to find other sources of reimbursement, like uninsured motorist coverage in cases involving a driver with no insurance, or underinsurance motorist coverage in cases involving a driver with inadequate coverage.

In Hawaii, if you sustained a serious and permanent injury, someone was killed, or your medical expenses total more than $5,000, you are entitled to sue the at-fault driver  Simply being injured is not enough to allow you to seek compensation.

You will have to show that the other driver was careless, malicious, or otherwise acted negligently and that you contributed to a smaller percentage of the accident.

Proving these kinds of cases demands an experienced and knowledgeable lawyer.
