Residential Fires in Hawaii
If you have experienced a significant burn injury, it’s possible that a negligent party is at fault for your accident. Many residential fires are the result of a landlord’s inattention or failure to maintain their property or are caused by a dangerous or defective product.
In these and many other situations, you may be able to hold a person or company liable for your injuries.
Some common sources of burn injuries are:
- Explosions caused by gas
- Faulty electrical equipment
- Vehicle defects
- Flammable textiles
- Leaking batteries in cars, golf carts, scooters, etc.
- Defective appliances
- Faulty carbon monoxide and smoke detectors
- Improper handling of scalding liquids
- Improperly stored or handled bleach or ammonia products
It is not uncommon for people to fall victim to accidents caused by the negligence of property owners, product manufacturers, landlords, building managers, and contractors. When someone is injured in a fire-related accident due to another person’s carelessness, they could be eligible to file a claim against the person responsible.
