Pedestrian Injuries in Hawaii

Honolulu, HI - Pedestrian Injured in Motorcycle Crash at Piikoi St and Waimanu St

The Hawaii Islands are a preeminent vacation spot for visitors from all over. Regrettably, this causes locals and tourists alike to encounter more pedestrian accidents than almost any other state.

Anyplace that is used regularly by both motor vehicles and pedestrians, the chances of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle are much, much greater. It only takes one careless or reckless driver to leave a pedestrian critically injured or even dead.

In order to move forward after deciding to file a pedestrian accident claim, you will need to show that the person who hit you was negligent or otherwise accountable through their actions. Our legal team has several decades of combined experience in successfully handling pedestrian injury claims. This means that our lawyers have a first-hand understanding of what is required to prove fault for an accident.

No matter what events led up to the accident, we know the best way to show that the driver was responsible. With our painstaking collection of any necessary documentation, combined with our thorough investigation, exhaustive witness testimonies, and carefully constructed arguments, we will do whatever it takes to ensure that you get the recovery you deserve.

While a very minute portion of pedestrian accidents are intentionally committed by nefarious drivers, many of them are caused by basic driver negligence.

The most frequently-seen types of negligent motorists in Hawaii are:

  • Motorists going over the speed limit
  • Motorists who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Motorists who are distracted
  • Motorists who disregard traffic signs or signals
  • Motorists who fail to observe crosswalks
  • Motorists who don’t use their turn indicators
  • Motorists who fail to exercise safety precautions during inclement weather
  • Motorists who fail to exercise due caution in places where children could potentially be present

It is necessary to bear in mind that if you, even as the injured victim, have even the tiniest bit of fault allocated to you, the negligent driver that struck you might only be required to pay you partial compensation for your accident-related damages.

When you contact our Hawaii pedestrian injury lawyers at (808) 537-2525, you can feel confident that we will start work on your case right away. We know how important it is for you to receive the compensation you are entitled to as quickly as possible.
