Filing Personal Injury Claims in Hawaii
Frequent causes of motor vehicle collisions in Hawaii include things such as:
- Inattentive driving, such as driving while sending texts or talking on your phone, reaching for objects, drinking, or eating
- Driving while under the influence of drugs or intoxicated by alcohol
- Disregarding traffic signs or lights, and disobeying the posted speed limit
- Drowsy driving
- Failing to use your turn indicators and committing illegal driving maneuvers
Traffic mishaps are sometimes the inevitable outcome of an event that is wholly unexpected, such as an animal darting out in front of your car, packages, furniture, refuse, or other debris falling off a truck in front of you, or an act of God, like a violent and damaging storm.
Bad weather conditions, such as heavy winds, fog, driving rain, snow, hail, and sleet can quickly worsen conditions already well-suited to a collision.
Sadly, with the increasing number of automobiles on the roadway, and an ever-growing selection of electronic devices that are readily available to drivers, distractions are in no short supply.
