Hilo, HI (July 29, 2022) – The Hawai‘i Police Department responded to a car accident in the northbound lane of Kanoelehua Avenue in Hilo on Wednesday, June 29th.
According to sources, an accident involving a commercial truck took out a utility pole and some wires on Kanoelehua Avenue in the area of Lanikaula Street.
The northbound lane will be closed for about three hours while work is done to clear the lines and poles from the roadway.
Paramedics were witnessed on the scene providing aid to at least one patient in unknown condition.
