Helping Hands Hawaii held its annual School Tools Drive on Saturday, June
25, 2016 to collect school supplies for low income and homeless children
throughout Hawaii. Attorney Jim Leavitt recently gave an interview with
KITV 4 Island News on the importance of this annual charitable event and
to encourage people to lend their support. Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner
has supported this event for many years and is proud to stand behind such
a worthy cause.
Monetary donations and donations of school supplies from generous people
like you help more than 8,000 children in need each year. The folks at
Helping Hands Hawaii use these donations to create school supply kits
at the beginning of the school year and continue to provide support throughout
the year as supplies are used up. We want to thank all of those who showed
up to the WalMart and Sam’s Club on Keeaumoku Street this weekend
to donate. If you missed it, you can still donate online! PayPal donations
can be made on the Helping Hands Hawaii website at www.helpinghandshawaii.org/donate.
You can also go to any American Savings Bank Branch to either drop off
supplies or make a cash donation.
